How it all Started

Simple Graces was established in 2002 by Daphne McDowell. She started the company as a way to help her church move out of their storefront location and to build their own church.
 
"Pastor made the announcement that we were building a church and that we were not taking out a loan to do so - we would build it ourselves from our earnings. This concerned me because we only had about 30 adult members (give or take). Pastor said that when we finished, the church would belong to God and not the bank. I prayed and asked the Lord to help me to do my part. I asked God to show me a talent and what to do with it. This jewelry business is truly a gift from God. I can't tell you the day or the moment that I started designing jewelry. However, I do know that in God all things are possible."
