Hand Knotted Jewelry
Jewelry hand knotted on silk or other natural fibers will need to be re-strung periodically. Hand knotted jewelry will eventually get dirt and grease in between the beads and attack the materials upon which they are strung. As the thread weakens, the chance of the thread snapping is more likely. Eventually, the thread will look discolored and worn-out.
